[Normally, Amanda would say yes. Children are innocents. But she's literally unable to see what Reira did as unintentional--and separating Amanda from her parental figure of choice is the gravest crime one can commit against her. Even the vaguest, most unintentional suggestion that someone might drive even the slightest wedge between her and her parental substitute is enough to drive her to murder. Reira went above and beyond that threshold.]
If we didn't make her pay, how long do you think it'd take her partners in heresy to use her as their 'get out of jail free' card? "Hey, let's have the kid do it. No one will take a kid to task for this shit."

[What with the fourth god threatening him directly. Egon doesn't know Amanda's history, he's not a psychologist, and frankly if she's gotten this far, she's not one to be questioned.]
[He raises a hand, though.]
But, I am working with her on these things.
[He leans a little bit inward, almost as if expecting someone to hear.]
I think I have a chance of converting her, or at least getting her to leave the side of the fourth. But it needs patience, and a strong parental figure. I fear we've lost a lot of trust and possibly radicalized more fourth followers.
I hated Felfri as much as anyone could, but I think it may have been a bit... much. I do understand your position, though.

[She huffs, tucking her gun back into her waistband.]
Look. I'm not trying to win any popularity polls. I'm done with the soft approach. I'll do whatever needs doing and I don't give a fuck about opposition.

I do want us to look better though- more recruits, less power to the fourth god. He's the cause of most of our problems and I don't want him getting any more good press, if I can help it.

Most people still miss their own bodies and abilities, I've seen a shocking amount of people consider joining him.

You can't expect someone to learn to walk the moment they grow a new pair of legs, metaphorically speaking.
